“People hate what they don’t understand”

A science fiction blended with fantasy,  telling an intriguing tale of a mysterious being in the form of a documentary to convey a socially relevant message about Vypin islands in Cochin. This is an oversimplification of the fantastic treat that Aavasa Vyuham is. A film industry otherwise filled with thrillers and slice of life stories is injected with some much required freshness  by the movie that blends multiple genres and still manages to maintain the grounded and realistic approach. The film initially creates a feeling of wonder, slowly transitioning to sympathy and sadness, however ends on a thoughtful note asking a lot of questions but only partly answering them. Not writing any more to keep the review fully spoiler-free. Go in blind and the film shall open your eyes!

Verdict : 6/7 stars

Brilliant.
