If you’re looking for a Spanish delight, then this is the one.

The Invisible Guest (Spanish: Contratiempo, lit. ‘Setback’)  revolves around a successful entrepreneur who got involved in an unfortunate tragedy and the series of events which follows brings his whole life and reputation at stake. The film might be a bit slow-paced in the beginning, but rapidly gains momentum towards the end, which I can assure you will take you, the viewers to the edge of your seats. Oriol Paulo [ The Director of El Cuerpo/ The Body (2012) and Mirage (2018) ]  has done a splendid job in driving and manipulating the viewers in the wrong direction at every twist and turn of this Spanish thriller. You might get a bit confused towards the latter half of the film, but trust me, when all the jigsaw pieces finally fall into place, giving you the full picture, you won’t be disappointed. This is one masterpiece you don’t wanna miss. The cinematography is also worth mentioning in this thriller.

So If you wanna try something outside of Indian Film Industry and Hollywood, then this is the one!

Verdict: 7/7 stars.

Bloody Brilliant.

One of the foreign Thrillers out there. It’s remade 3-4 times already. That speaks volumes. Don’t miss this one.
